Red Orca Digital's SEO for contractors covers the Google Business Profile, the website, links from sites your customers and your trade use, and how AI assistants read and describe the business, with Local Services Ads included. Core is $2,500 a month for one location. Month to month, one company per trade per county.

What does SEO for contractors cover?
Four things, all aimed at the same outcome: a homeowner in your county searching for your trade and finding you without an ad.
Part
What it is
What I do
Google Business Profile
The listing in the map pack, with your reviews and photos
Categories, services, service area and photos set up properly, kept current, and a way to ask every customer for a review
Your website
The pages Google ranks and homeowners read
One page per service you sell, built to rank and to turn a visit into a call, fast on a phone
Links
Other sites pointing at yours
From suppliers, associations, sponsorships and local sites your customers use. Never bought
AI assistants
How ChatGPT, Claude and Google's AI answers describe your business
Pages they can read, and your business described the same way everywhere they look
Local Services Ads are set up and managed inside the same fee, because for most contractors they are the cheapest leads available and the same reviews that help your profile help there too. Why a Local Services budget goes unspent.
How is SEO different from Google Ads?
Google Ads is renting. You pay for every click, and when the budget stops the leads stop.
SEO is building something you own: a profile and a website that rank on their own. It builds over months, compounds, and keeps working when the ad spend stops.
The honest trade-off is speed and certainty. Ads can be live and measurable quickly; SEO cannot be switched on, and nobody can promise you a ranking position. Most contractors I work with start with Google Ads and add SEO when they want an asset underneath the ads. Google Ads or SEO walks through it by budget.
How does the map pack decide who shows up?
Google names three things for local results: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is whether your profile and site say you do the thing they searched. Distance is how far you are from the person searching, and nobody can change it for you. Prominence is how well known you are, which is mostly reviews, links and how your business is mentioned around the web.
So the work is the two you can move. Relevance: the right primary category, every service listed, and a page on your site for each service. Prominence: a steady flow of real reviews from every customer, and links from real local sites.
What happens to my website?
Most contractor sites have one "Services" page listing everything. Google ranks pages, not businesses, so a contractor with one page for replacement, repair and maintenance is competing for three searches with one page. Core rebuilds the site around a page per service you actually sell, each one answering what a homeowner asks before they call: what it costs, how long it takes, what the warranty is, and who does the work.
Town pages get built only where you have real jobs, reviews or searches in that town to put on them. A page that swaps the town name into the same text is exactly what Google's spam rules describe, and it does more harm than good.
Every page is built to load fast on a phone, with the phone number on the first screen, because ranking a page nobody can use wastes the ranking.
Can you get my business into ChatGPT and AI answers?
Nobody can promise that an assistant will name you, and anyone who does is guessing. What I can do is the part that is known to matter.
Be retrievable. Your site lets the assistants' crawlers in and your pages carry their words in plain text, not inside images or scripts.
Be described the same way everywhere. Your name, services and area match across your site, your profile and the directories assistants read.
Be mentioned. Reviews and mentions on sites people trust carry more weight with assistants than anything you say about yourself.
Answer the question. Pages that state prices, processes and specifics in plain sentences get quoted. Pages of slogans do not.
I measure what can be measured: visits that arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity and similar tools, and what customers tell you when you ask how they found you. I cannot measure every time an assistant mentions you, and I won't pretend to.
How do you report on SEO?
Monthly, in counts before percentages: calls and forms from the profile and the website, with the month they came in. At contractor volumes a single month moves around a lot, so I judge direction over three months, not one. Rankings move day to day and by location, so a ranking report is a snapshot I date, not a scoreboard.
What does SEO cost?
Core is $2,500 a month for one location and one county, and it is what most people buy. Scale is $4,000 a month for every location and county, with more content, heavier link building and a monthly call instead of a report. No build fee. Local Services lead charges are billed by Google separately. Month to month. Pricing.
When is SEO the wrong call?
When you need calls this month. SEO does not switch on, and a contractor who needs work now should start with Local Services and Search. It is also the wrong spend if the website cannot be changed, or if you are not willing to ask customers for reviews, because reviews are the part of prominence only you can supply.

Local Services Ads set up and managed
Local Services lead charges are separate and billed by Google. No build fee.
$1,500 covers ad spend up to $10,000 a month, and the price steps up above that. Ad spend is separate, at least $2,000 a month, paid straight to Google on your card and never marked up.
It builds over months and compounds. I won't give you a date for a ranking, because nobody controls one. What I can show you every month is the calls and forms coming from the profile and the site.
Does SEO help my Local Services ranking?
Not directly. Local Services ranks on its own signals. The one thing they share is reviews: a steady flow of real reviews helps both.
Will you rebuild my website?
Core includes rebuilding the pages that need to rank and convert, a page per service you sell. If your site cannot be edited, that changes what SEO can do, and I'll say so up front.
Do you write fake reviews or buy links?
No. Both break Google's rules and both can be undone in a day. Reviews come from asking every real customer the same way. Links come from real sites that have a reason to mention you.
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month. The website and the profile are yours whether you stay or not.
Can I do SEO and Google Ads together?
Yes, and many contractors should. Ads bring leads while SEO builds, and the two share the landing page work and the tracking.
